Nestled proudly upon the coastline, this magnificent Victorian villa has undergone an exhaustive restoration, rekindling the grandeur of its historic visage. Exposed to the full temperamental sweep of Nelson's climate across all four seasons, the residence now radiates timeless elegance. The trim, windows, and bargeboards are finished in Half Black White, while the weatherboards are cloaked in ¼ Foggy Grey. The roof in the classic Pioneer Red, and the doors in the sophisticated Black Robin, complete a harmonious palette that honours both heritage and contemporary taste.
“Awesome job. Jonny and the team were super easy to deal with. Huge attention to detail on a big old house. We couldn’t be happier.”

A contemporary architectural design exuding elegance and ample space. It seamlessly transitions with its high-pitched ceilings, imparting a sense of expansiveness, while offering a graceful indoor-outdoor connectivity. The prominent feature wall is adorned in Nero, complemented by Sea Fog hues adorning the ceilings and walls.

This stylish construction crafted in Christchurch boasts a certified passive design. We adorned the interiors with a cosy Stone colour scheme, while all trims, doors, and window reveals feature an Egyptian Cotton semi-gloss finish, skilfully applied through airless spraying techniques.

Aesthetic in its design, nestled within central Nelson, this home exudes openness and floods with abundant natural light. Another certified passive construction project allowed us to employ a neutral colour palette of Black White, resulting in a stunning, luminous space.

This renovation posed a significant challenge. Our goal was to maintain the building's previous aesthetic while incorporating a blend of classic and modern colours. The outcome is flawless and stunning. We utilised airless spraying for the roof and interior, while the cladding was rolled on seamlessly. The house's interior features numerous charming nooks and crannies, yet it has been updated to fully capitalise on the breath-taking view.
“My wife and I were recommended Pure Eco by our Builders during our recent 9 month house renovation. We have been delighted with his workmanship, plus their positive attitudes and excellent communication skills. He has great knowledge and is a good listener. We would totally recommend his firm.”
— James Healy, Princess Drive

Embracing the enduring charm of a classic weatherboard house, our recent project in Collingwood exemplifies timeless elegance. Extensive preparation work was undertaken to breathe new life into this weary dwelling. Using airless spraying techniques, we adorned the roof in a dignified shade of Grey Friars, while the fret work, windows, weatherboards, and soffits were gracefully adorned in Alabaster.

A meticulous restoration executed to revive its former splendour. Opting for a serene White for the ceilings and Egyptian Cotton for all trims and doors, we curated an ambiance of sophistication. The walls, painted in the inviting hue of Clover Honey, exuded warmth throughout the home. We lovingly restored the old timber balustrade along the stairs and archway with matte clear varnish. The striking Licorice feature was applied to two walls and the stairway handrail.

This lively residence provided us with the opportunity to experiment with vibrant and bold colours for accent walls and doors. The green accent wall exudes a Groovey vibe, while the blue accent wall in the laundry area is dubbed Pelorus. The result was refreshingly energizing and enjoyable — the impressive utilisation of colour truly enhances the vibrancy of this imaginative environment.
“Jonny and his team were exceptional. The cutting in where two colours meet has to be perfect. The result is better than I imagined, just completely flawless and stunning.”
— Nadia Sole, Christchurch

Working with Design Base Architecture & Big Bad Wolf Builders, we sprayed out the interior of this home in natural chemical-free paint. Achieving a premium finish — green feature walls in the bathroom in Katikati and the striking feature black walls in Black Robin.
“Couldn’t be happier with the services and quality of Pure Eco’s work.”
— Peter Marment

This cedar clad home was in need of oiling — it was extremely dry and had started growing black mould which can damage timber. Using Natural Exterior Oils from Natural Paint Co. we achieved a stunning finish. The client was particular about a specific colour, and we were able to colour match that for them to perfection.
“If you are looking for a service offered with as much personal care as attention to detail, complemented by a positive environmentally-sensitive ethos, you can’t go past Jonny and his team.”
— Martin Bird

Rising with an air of dignity and dominance, it looms over its surroundings, fully exposed to the whims of weather and the salty mist of the sea. The weatherboards are painted in Half Grey Chateau while the fascia and boxing are adorned in Grey Friars.
“In summary we found the quality of their work was exceptional and would have no hesitation in using them again or recommending the firm to others.”
— Warwick, Walters Bluff

A comprehensive strategy was implemented to create a conducive atmosphere for this expansive health-orientated cooperative facility in Christchurch. From hot yoga spaces to private office suites, we were tasked with furnishing and decorating this extensive facility. We utilised airless spraying techniques throughout the complex, with certain large rooms requiring the application of low-sheen enamel for its resilience to heat and moisture.

We took on a tired worn-down weatherboard home and turned it into a beautifully fresh, vibrant home. Coconut Ice was chosen for the weatherboards and a simple but effective White for all windows and under the roof space — really lightening up the space and creating a clean & crisp look. We also sprayed the roof of the veranda and the underside of the porch in White.
“Jonny and Alex did an exceptional job. Our villa was built in 1914 and they made sure any weatherboards with rot were replaced before painting. A thorough, professional and meticulous paint job. The finish is incredible and using natural paints meant no horrible smell and no chemicals.”
— Coconut Ice Client

This beautiful home situated on the top of Princess Drive was a pleasure to re-decorate. Washing and undercoating all solid plastering before finishing with two coats of exterior paint. We also re-vitalised the timber soffit with exterior oil, refreshing all the timber rafters under the soffit and the pergola. The decking area was also redone in Kwila exterior oil.
“A great job was done. Good communication on the paint colour. It is nice to know we are using non-toxic paints in our house.”
— M Harkness

This stylish renovation has seen old rimu windows renovated and refreshed with natural paints. Wall colours include Pigeon Bush, Malaspina Reach and Blackwood Bay for the doors. Rimu wardrobes re-oiled in Natural Paint Co. Oil. The finished result is flawless where traditional meets modern.
